Introducing the new IASP Control Panel

Welcome to the first IASP Support Bulletin, as we proudly announce the launch of new IASP Technology Network website: www.iasp.net.au and the official release of the IASP Control Panel Interface, which now appears as a standard feature to all administrators logged into all IASP 5.0 websites!

As the IASP Control Panel (which replaces the previous Master Site Settings area) is a substantial overhaul of the standard administration interface, we expect you'll probably have some questions, and we'd love your feedback as we refine this exciting new functionality.

Some quick pointers:
  • When logged into your IASP 5.0 website as an administrator, to get back to the 'home' view of the Control Panel (as pictured to the right), click the 'IASP Control Panel' icon at the top right of the panel at any stage.
  • To switch functions, simply choose the function from the dropdown list at the top right.

The new features introduced today represent, we hope, a generational shift in the ease of use of the IASP CMS, nearing the end of a road we started two years ago. The complete redevelopment of our product from the ground up has enabled us to combine the flexibility of the existing system with a bevy of cutting-edge, best-practice functionality that is really coming to the surface now.

We're hoping you'll find it a pleasure to use, but if not, or if you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear about it!

If you are viewing this article via the IASP Control Panel within your IASP 5.0 website please feel free to submit a question or two, or if you are viewing this article via the IASP.net.au website please submit a comment on this article (you need to be a registered User of the IASP Corporate Website and then be logged in to the IASP.net.au website) if there's anything you'd like to say or find out.

Launched in parallel with the Control Panel are two other vitally important features:

  • The IASP Online Knowledge base - this is represented by the big green panic buttons you'll see in most administrative areas of your IASP 5.0 website from today; if there's anything you need to know, pop it down and you'll find answers to questions relating to the specific area you are accessing, and if the answer you need isn't there, please ask a question of your own.
  • Automated Support Tickets - you can submit these either by ticking the 'my question is urgent' box in the Knowledge Base mentioned above, or from the 'Your Support Tickets' section of your IASP Control Panel.

The two features above are two of the best ways to give your feedback about the changes, and raise any issues you may have with them. With both of these features you're provided with updates by email as your questions are answered or issues resolved, and you can track progress via your IASP Control Panel.

The IASP.net.au website represents the third vitally important new IASP support resource - also launched today, it allows you to provide comments to all news articles and knowledge base answers if you're a registered user of the IASP Corporate Website (which is also about to undergo a major upgrade), and logged in to the IASP.net.au website (you can use the same login details for both the IASP.com.au and IASP.net.au websites).

Importantly, special thanks to Reece Townsend at our design partner BRB Design + Marketing for the excellent design work on the IASP.net.au website and the new IASP Control Panel layout.
We've worked long and hard to get things to this point, and we look forward to hearing your feedback!
